The Lawyers Council Organizes an Itinerant Academic Training Seminar “Nominee and Money Laundering Litigation: Cases of Holding Assets and Accounts on Behalf of Foreigners”

On 13 June B.E. 2569, from 09.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m., the Lawyers Council under the Royal Patronage, together with the Pattaya Provincial Lawyers Council and the Pattaya Lawyers Club, organized an itinerant academic training seminar in the province on the topic “Nominee and Money Laundering Litigation: Cases of Holding Assets and Accounts on Behalf of Foreigners,” with the objective of strengthening knowledge and understanding and enhancing professional skills for lawyers and persons involved in litigation on issues of legal and social importance at present, at Pattaya City Hall, 4th Floor, Thap Phraya Meeting Room (401), Chonburi Province.

This training focused on providing knowledge concerning the examination and conduct of litigation relating to the holding of assets on behalf of foreigners, the use of accounts on behalf of other persons, digital money trails, techniques for gathering evidence, as well as approaches to defending cases in court. The training was honored by Pol.Lt. Setthawut Saipong, Director of Security Cases Section 2, Security Cases Division, and Mr. Khomkhanit Phonghiran, Director of Transnational Crime Cases Section 1, Division of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Cases, as distinguished speakers with direct experience in investigations of national security cases, transnational crime cases, and money laundering cases.

The organization of this training was directed by Ph.D. Thanaphon Kongjieng, President of the Lawyers Council, and Ph.D. Peerapat Foithong, Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with Ph.D. Theerawat Weerawat, President of the Pattaya Lawyers Club, Mr. Saralcha Srichonwattana, Vice President for Legal Aid / Executive Committee Member of the Lawyers Council Region 2, and Mr. Suksan Missachan, President of the Pattaya Provincial Lawyers Council, as well as the executive committee of the Lawyers Council and representatives from the Lawyers Council in the local area, to continuously promote the development of legal knowledge for lawyers in the regions and to enhance the capacity to provide professional legal services to the public efficiently.
