On 15 June B.E. 2569, from 08.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., CTAB Attorneys Association led a delegation of faculty members and master’s degree students from National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan, together with members of the Association, totaling approximately 30 persons, to participate in a study visit and attend a lecture at the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) on the topic “Dispute Resolution Process by Arbitration of Thailand and States Parties.”
The activity was honored by Mr. Pongthep Thepkanjana as the chairman of the activity, with the objective of promoting the exchange of knowledge on dispute resolution by arbitration in Thailand, particularly in the context of economic and international trade disputes, which is beneficial to the faculty members, students, and participants in studying the approaches, processes, and roles of the Thailand Arbitration Center in Thailand.
This study visit served as an important platform to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about Thailand’s alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, which are playing an increasingly important role in supporting trade transactions, investment, and international cooperation, particularly in cases where the parties come from different jurisdictions. Understanding the arbitration system is therefore beneficial to the development of comparative legal skills and preparation for future work in international law.
In addition, the activity also reflects the academic cooperation among CTAB Attorneys Association, National Chengchi University, and the Thailand Arbitration Center in promoting the exchange of experience among lawyers, academics, and students at the international level, as well as publicizing the role of the Thailand Arbitration Center to be more widely known in the international arena.
